Benefits of CBD oil for massage therapy
CBD, or cannabidiol, a compound found in cannabis plants, offers potential health benefits, including reducing anxiety and providing pain relief, without the psychoactive effects associated with THC. With a full spectrum CBD oil massage, the skin retains and absorbs all the beneficial cannabinoids.
This includes, CBD, CBC, CBDA, as well as small amount of THC (under .3% by law).
- Topical Pain Relief: CBD has anti-inflammatory properties and is known to relieve pain in aching muscles and joints.
- Skin Nourishing: Beyond its intimate benefits, CBD body oil can also serve as a skin-nourishing product, offering hydration and promoting skin health.
Benefits of arnica oil
We use arnica oil in our CBD Massage Oil because it is extremely effective in relieving pain and swelling. Arnica, a natural compound found in sunflowers and daisies, is commonly used topically to treat bruises, sprains, and muscle soreness. Arnika also helps make for a really soothing massage.
-
Reduces Bruising and Swelling: Arnica massage oil is well-known for its effectiveness in reducing bruising and swelling. Many patients use it after surgery to help minimize postoperative bruising and edema. Experience the soothing benefits of arnica for yourself.
-
Alleviates Pain: We use Arnica in our CBD Massage Oil because it's soothes muscles, reducing inflammation, and easing pain. It's a go-to remedy for anyone looking to feel better and stay active.
-
Promotes Healing: Arnica oil may also accelerate the healing process by stimulating the activity of white blood cells that perform much of the cleanup and repair of damaged tissue.
Is safflower oil good for skin?
Naturally Mignon uses safflower oil in our CBD Massage Oil because it's an excellent skin moisturizer and is high in vitamin E. It is also very light and absorbs into the skin quickly.
Medical research and studies suggest that safflower oil is helpful for treating minor skin wounds because of its antibacterial and antifungal properties. We expeller press our safflower oil, ensuring it is high in high oleic acid. This process involves no chemicals for oil extraction or processing.
Is MCT oil good for skin?
We extract MCT oil (medium-chain triglyceride oil) from coconut oil, concentrating MCTs in the process.
Caprylic acid (C8) and capric acid (C10) primarily compose MCT oil, believed to offer various health benefits.
-
Moisturizing: MCT oil is a lightweight, non-greasy oil that also absorbs easily into the skin, making it an excellent moisturizer. The massage oil helps replenish the skin's natural lipid barrier because it locks in moisture and preventing transepidermal water loss. This can help improve skin hydration and prevent dryness, leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth.
-
Antimicrobial properties: MCT oil exhibits antimicrobial activity against various bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
-
Anti-inflammatory effects: Research has shown that MCT oil applied to the skin possesses anti-inflammatory properties and can also soothe irritated or inflamed skin.
-
Barrier repair: MCT oil contains fatty acids, such as caprylic acid and capric acid, which can help strengthen the skin's natural barrier function.
-
Non-comedogenic: MCT oil is non-comedogenic, meaning it is unlikely to clog pores or cause acne breakouts. This makes it suitable for all skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin.
-
Skin conditioning: MCT oil helps improve the overall texture and appearance of the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and supple.
