Know Your Cannabis and Mushroom Terms
A quick reference for hemp-derived cannabinoids, mushroom compounds, concentrates, and common product terms.
- Amanita Muscaria: Amanita muscaria (fly agaric) is a red-capped mushroom containing the psychoactive compounds ibotenic acid and muscimol. Its primary effects come from muscimol (a GABA-A receptor agonist), not psilocybin.
- Cart: Short for cartridge; a pre-filled container with hemp-derived cannabinoids (e.g., THC, CBD) designed for standard 510-thread vape battery pens. Learn about 510 vape pens.
- Delta 10 THC: Hemp-derived cannabinoid with a lighter, uplifting profile often preferred for daytime use. See our THC Gummies Collection.
- Delta 8 THC: Hemp-derived cannabinoid typically described as milder and more relaxing than Delta 9 THC.
- Delta 9 THC: The primary intoxicating cannabinoid in cannabis. In hemp products, Delta 9 THC must remain ≤0.3% by dry weight under U.S. federal law.
- Farm Bill (2018): U.S. legislation that federally legalized hemp (≤0.3% Delta 9 THC) and enabled production and sale of hemp-derived cannabinoids. USDA overview.
- Full Spectrum CBD Oil: CBD extract containing multiple cannabinoids and terpenes (including trace THC), often associated with the entourage effect. Explore CBD oil.
- Hemp-Derived THC: THC and related cannabinoids extracted from legally defined hemp (≤0.3% Delta 9 THC); includes Delta 8 and Delta 10.
- HHC (Hexahydrocannabinol): A hydrogenated cannabinoid with relaxing, mood-elevating properties, distinct from Delta 9 THC.
- Indica: Category of cannabis varieties commonly associated with relaxing, calming, body-heavy effects; often chosen for evening use.
- Legal Mushrooms: Functional or mild psychoactive mushrooms (e.g., Amanita muscaria in some jurisdictions) used for wellness without psilocybin content. See our Mushroom Gummies Collection.
- Liquid Diamonds: A concentrate blending THCA crystalline “diamonds” with terpene-rich sauce for potency and flavor. See THCA Flower.
- Live Resin: Concentrate produced by flash-freezing fresh cannabis to preserve terpenes and aromatics prior to extraction. See our Live Resin Collection.
- Live Rosin: Solventless concentrate pressed from fresh-frozen material or hash using heat and pressure; valued for purity and flavor.
- Muscimol: The primary psychoactive compound in Amanita muscaria; a GABA-A receptor agonist associated with sedative and dreamlike effects.
- Mushroom Extract Blend: A combination of mushroom-derived extracts (e.g., hot water/alcohol/CO₂) concentrating bioactive compounds such as polysaccharides, triterpenes, or muscimol.
- Palo Santo Wood: Aromatic wood traditionally burned for its soothing scent in spiritual or wellness rituals.
- Pre Roll: A ready-to-use hemp or cannabis joint that is pre-filled and rolled for convenience.

- THCB (Tetrahydrocannabutol): A lesser-known cannabinoid reported to have potent effects; research and availability continue to evolve.
- THCP (Tetrahydrocannabiphorol): A highly potent cannabinoid discovered in 2019; binds strongly to CB1 receptors relative to Delta 9 THC.
- Vape: An inhalation device that heats oils or concentrates to produce vapor rather than smoke.
